Monday 2nd October

On the eve of Liddington

The children and staff are looking forward to tomorrow, when they will venture off to Liddington for the Year 6 residential.

Mrs Wilson is Party Leader and she will be ably assisted by the following staff:
  • Mr Day
  • Mr Wilkinson
  • Mrs Holt
  • Mrs Wiles
  • Mrs Maggs
  • Mrs Hallows
  • Mrs Brook
  • Mrs Mc Bain
  • Mrs Westlake
Every member of this year's staff team is experienced in PGL residential trips and most have previously stayed at the Liddington site.

Today the children have been advised as to who their activity group leader will be and the other children they will be working alongside each day. They have also been given their room allocation and know who they will be sharing with whilst they are away. There can be no room changes at this late stage but as every child is with at least one person from their list, we do not anticipate any problems. The whole year group will spend evenings together on a whole school activity.

Tomorrow, the children should come into school at the usual time of 8.40 and go into their normal classrooms. Luggage should have been left at the designated areas. Coach A - on the stage outside the Learning Lodge. Coach B - In front of the low level activity trail.

If your child needs medication this should be handed to Mrs McBain, who will be situated in the library. Please remember to bring the completed medical form.

The coaches are not due to depart until 9.30am, a later departure than in previous years. Parents are welcome to wait on the playground should they wish to, but we will post photos of the departure on the website and provide regular updates.

More news tomorrow.
