St Paul’s Junior School has an active and enthusiastic Parent and Teacher Association. Getting involved with the PTA is a great way to be part of the school community and to raise money to support the children’s education. PTA funds are used to buy classroom, playground and specialist equipment, and to reduce the costs of school trips and in-school events. Our activities also help to bring parents, children, governors and teachers together to encourage friendships, partnerships and a positive sense of community.
The PTA Committee is:
Co-chairs: Divya Menon and Emilie Seward
Vice chair: Rhonda Kirby
Treasurer: Katherine Duxbury
Secretary: Jayne Lewis
What are we up to?
Annual events include the Summer Fair and Christmas Fair, children’s discos around Easter and Christmas, and the Summer BBQ. We are trialing some new projects this year, and are always looking for good ideas!
We typically meet once a term to plan for the next few months. Meetings are in the evenings, and held at school or a local pub.
Details of upcoming meetings and activities are included in our regular newsletters (distributed by ParentMail, and available below) and are included on the website’s Calendar page. Reminders go out in ParentMail and are on our Facebook page.
How can you help?
All our activities depend on parents getting involved before (e.g. planning, shopping, canvassing, setting up), during (e.g. serving refreshments, manning stalls, supervising), and after (e.g. packing away, following up) the events. We need all sorts of skills, and any help is always greatly appreciated. Please volunteer to support us – even a small amount of your time would make a difference. Thank you!
How can you contact us?
Find us at the school gate at drop-off or pick-up time.
