Friday 24th October

The coaches are due to depart Liddington after lunch and I will send a ParentMail confirming their safe departure as soon as I hear from Mrs Harris that they have left the site.

The estimated arrival time back at school is approximately 3pm and I will keep you updated should this change. Please do not ring school to check timings as we will advise you of any delays.

If you could help us unload all the bags and boxes from the coaches and take them onto the playground, the staff will then disembark the children.

Please do not wait on the pavements outside school as there is insufficient room to safely reunite you with your child.

More news later.

Courage beyond measure!

There have been many acts of bravery at Liddington, with children stepping outside their comfort zones and facing some truly daunting challenges.

Sadly, one of our crew was unable to join the trip, as he was busy showing courage of a different kind. Following a lengthy six hour surgery and after enduring significant pain, he was soon back on his feet, determined to make a start on getting better - a remarkable feat of strength and resilience.

I am pleased to be able to report that he is now safely home and making the first steps on the road to recovery. There will definitely be a Headteacher’s Award waiting for him upon his return!

9.50am

The sun is shining and the sky is a brilliant blue over Liddington this morning. The children have fuelled up with a hearty cooked breakfast—and what seemed like their body weight in toast!—ready for their final, fun-filled morning of the residential.

Bags are packed, rooms have been checked (and rechecked), and after a good night’s sleep—even the staff managed an early night—Team St Paul’s is raring to go.

Today’s adventures include Laser Tag, Archery, Trapeze, and Zip Wire. You can find descriptions of each activity on yesterday’s page.

I’ll continue posting pictures as they come in and will message you once everyone is safely on the coaches and heading home.
