Friday 23rd October

10.00am
The disco was a great success, with the staff and children dancing the night away. It was lovely to see them having such good fun and I was impressed with how quickly and sensibly the children got ready for bed. Most of them were tucked up and asleep before the clock struck 10!

The children slept well and were up bright and early raring to go. Beds are stripped, bags are packed and rooms are tidy. Luggage has been stowed ready for the return journey and after a hearty cooked breakfast with lashings of toast, Team St Paul's braved the elements!

I imagine that by the end of their second activity we may have some very happy children armed with some very wet and muddy clothing. The washing machines of Wokingham need to be on stand-by as there is some serious laundry heading their way.

They say that every picture tells a story and the photos are proof of what a fantastic time the children are having and how happy and well cared for they have been.

Huge thanks to our brilliant staff team:

Mrs Brodie, Mrs Foster, Mrs Gray, Mrs Holt, Miss Jacobs, Mrs McBain, Miss Plumley, Miss Thornhill and Mrs Tustin.

Congratulations Mrs Harris, Party Leader, for organising another brilliant residential and ensuring it was such a success.

The coaches are due to depart Liddington after lunch and I will send a ParentMail confirming their safe departure as soon as I hear from Mrs Harris that they have left the site.

The coaches are expected to arrive back at school at approximately 3pm and I will keep you updated should this change. Please do ring school as we will advise you of any delays.

If parents could help us unload all the bags and boxes from the coaches and take them onto the playground, the staff will disembark the children and bring them to you.

Please do not wait on the pavements outside school as there is insufficient room to safely reunite you with your child.

4.00pm

It was lovely to welcome the children back safe and sound.

Thank you to all of the parents who helped with luggage. We really appreciated your assistance.

The final pictures are now uploaded onto the website and so I am signing now until Liddington 2027.

Happy half term, everyone!

Mrs Taylor
